Venue & Practical Information WORKSHOP INFORMATION
(1) KeynotesWe are happy to announce that our workshop will start with two keynotes. Prof. Karin Knorr Cetina (University of Chicago & University of Konstanz) and Prof. Martina Löw (TU Darmstadt) will present their ideas on the interrelation between STS and Sociology of Architecture and, more generally, on the sociality with objects and space. (2) RegistrationThe registration opens on Thursday, June 6, 2013, 5 p.m. in the workshop room (Room V2-121).
(3) Conference FeeThere is no conference fee. Lunch, coffee and dinner are on everyone's own expenses.
(4) Joint DinnerOn Friday (June 7, 2013) we make a reservation for a table at the Italian restaurant "Il Corvo". We warmly invite everyone to continue our discussions in a more informal context. Guiseppe Muratore, the Sicilian owner of the restaurant, is a magician in the kitchen and provides a surprisingly multifaceted collection of Grappa.
(5) Full PaperWe are looking forward to your full papers (due on May 20, 2013). We kindly ask you to put the emphasize on making your central argument clear in the paper - still, there are no formal guidelines regarding length or citation style. Tram line no. 4 is the direct connection from the city center to the university, via the central station. Tickets have to be bought beforehand at the vending machines:

(5) Directions to BielefeldTrain Bielefeld is connected to Germany's high speed long distance train system (ICE). Book your ticket to Bielefeld via Deutsche Bahn or at one of the vending machines at a railway station. Flight There are two international airports that are connected well with Bielefeld: Frankfurt (FRA) and Düßeldorf (DUS). From Düßeldorf it takes you about 1,5 hours and from Frankfurt about 3 hours in high speed trains. Both airports have railway stations. The closest airport to Bielefeld is in Hanover (HAJ). Hanover is mainly connected to other European airports. As far we know there are no transatlantic flights. |
